ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

Statement of Commitment

At Mobile Climate Control (MCC), we are committed to providing a barrier-free, inclusive environment for everyone who interacts with our services—whether in person, online, or through our products. We believe accessibility is a shared responsibility and strive to uphold the principles of independence, dignity, integration, and equal opportunity.

Our policy reflects global accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and our commitment to continuous improvement in creating an inclusive experience for customers, partners, and employees with disabilities.

Customer Service

Communication and Assistive Support

We aim to communicate with individuals in ways that consider their needs. We accommodate assistive devices, support persons, and service animals and are committed to respectful, clear, and inclusive communication across all channels—phone, email, mail, and in person.

Telephone & Alternate Communication

If telephone communication isn’t suitable, we offer alternative methods, including email and written correspondence. We strive to accommodate preferred formats whenever possible.

Billing and Documents

Invoices and other customer documents can be requested in accessible formats such as large print, email, or fax. Additional formats are available upon request.

Use of Assistive Devices, Service Animals, and Support Persons

People using assistive devices are welcome to access all our services. Our team is trained to assist and accommodate a wide range of devices. We welcome service animals in public areas unless prohibited by law and encourage support persons to accompany individuals with disabilities throughout their visit.

Notice of Temporary Disruption

We will notify the public of any temporary disruptions to facilities or services commonly used by people with disabilities. Notices will include the reason for the disruption, expected duration, and details of alternative options available. These notices will be posted at public entrances.

Feedback

We welcome feedback about our accessibility practices. Feedback can be provided via:

  • Phone: +1-905-482-2750 ext. 1266
  • Email: nancy.barrett@mcc-hvac.com
  • Mail: Nancy Barrett, Director, Human Resources
7540 Jane Street, Vaughan, ON L4K 0A6, Canada

We also accept feedback in alternate formats, including audio or electronic text. Each comment is reviewed individually, and action is taken where appropriate.

Digital Accessibility

We strive to meet or exceed WCAG standards for web accessibility. Our goal is to ensure our digital content is usable by all people, regardless of ability or technology. If you encounter an issue with our website or need content in an alternate format, please contact us using the information above.

Employment and Workplace Accommodations

We are committed to providing inclusive and accessible employment practices across every stage of the hiring and employment journey.

  • Recruitment: Applicants will be notified that accommodations are available during the recruitment process.
  • Onboarding: New hires are informed about our policies on workplace accommodations.
  • Employment: Employees with disabilities are supported through individual accommodation plans, return-to-work processes, and accessible formats of communication.

Training

We provide training to all staff, volunteers, and policy developers on:

  • Accessible customer service practices
  • Interacting with people who use assistive devices, service animals, or support persons
  • MCC’s own accessibility policies and procedures

Training is refreshed regularly and provided during onboarding for new staff. Records of training dates and participants are maintained.

Accessibility Planning and Compliance

MCC maintains a multi-year accessibility plan, updated every five years, to address and remove barriers across the organization. This includes:

  • Information and Communication
  • Employment Standards
  • Public Safety Information
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Web Content and Kiosks
  • Design of Public Spaces (where applicable)

While the Transportation Standard does not currently apply to us, we remain prepared to meet requirements should that change.
