MCC employees in Toronto, Canada, come together for Yellow Day to support kindness, respect, inclusion, and the message that bullying has no place in our communities.

On November 5, employees at MCC’s facilities in Toronto, Canada, came together for Yellow Day, an initiative focused on raising awareness about bullying and encouraging kindness, respect, and inclusion.

Employees wore yellow as a visible sign of support and solidarity. It is a simple gesture, but one that carries an important message: everyone should feel safe, respected, and included, whether at work, at school, or in the wider community.

For Dean Varley, President, MCC Americas, taking part is an opportunity for MCC to demonstrate these values together.

“Taking part in Yellow Day is about supporting something that affects many people and families. At MCC, we believe everyone deserves to feel respected, included, and safe, and we’re proud to stand together behind that message.”

Coming together as a team

At our Toronto facilities, Yellow Day is also an opportunity for colleagues to come together around a shared message and show how individual actions can contribute to a more positive and supportive environment.

Sonia Buffa, Senior Key Account Manager, highlights the importance of the people behind the initiative

“What I like about Yellow Day is that it brings people together around a very simple but important message: be kind, respect one another, and speak up when something isn’t right. I’m proud to see our MCC team come together to support that.”

— Sonia Buffa, Senior Key Account Manager

By standing together in yellow at our Toronto facilities, we hope to help keep the conversation going and reinforce something that matters every day: treating people with kindness, dignity, and respect.
