Controlling the climate since 1975

Mobile Climate Control was founded in 1975 in Norrtälje, Sweden, under the name Klimatsystem AB. The company grew from strength to strength through extensive product development, new acquisitions and establishing new branches. In 2007 the Swedish private equity company Ratos acquired 60 percent of MCC and since late 2016 the company is wholly owned by VBG Group AB, a publicly traded industrial company. The endeavor to become the world leading HVAC provider to the commercial vehicle industry continues.

 

1975 Klimatsystem AB is founded in Norrtälje, Sweden.
1983 MCC Inc is founded in Toronto, Canada.
1997 MCC acquires Klimatsystem AB.
2004 MCC acquires UWE Verken in Norrköping, Sweden.
2007 Ratos acquires 60% of MCC.
2008 MCC establishes new plant in Olawa, Poland.
2008 Ratos acquires the remaining 40% in MCC. MCC acquires ACME in Goshen, USA.
2010 MCC establishes its business in Ningbo, China.
2011 MCC acquires Carrier’s North American Bus Air Conditioning Division in York, USA.
2012 The production in MCC Sverige AB, Norrtälje is moved to Olawa, Poland.
2015 MCC opens a plant for MCAC production in Toronto, Canada.
2016 MCC gets a new owner VBG Group AB.
2018 MCC starts operations in Bengaluru, India.
2018 A Sales & Engineering office for bus is started in Renningen, Germany.
