How can we help you build a climate system?

Building a climate system in a vehicle is not as straightforward as one might think. When choosing the components and solutions it's not only price and technical specifications that determine what the final system will look like.

On the system pages of this web site we will take you step by step through the factors influencing how you build your system and how WE can help you..

Interior climate – not just a question of temperature

When designing the climate system you need to understand the basic elements of interior vehicle climate:  air temperature, surface temperature (radiation), air movements, air quality and relative humidity. In the figure below you can see that even if the temperature is around 22˚C, it's not really pleasant because of cold draft and radiation. Therefore it is important to develop climate products that work to minimize draft and cold surfaces. For instance the convectors we deliver give no draft, and the heating fan Whisper 200 heats the floor with the air flow under the passenger seats, all to make the end customers a little bit happier during their journey.

How we work together with the vehicle builder

Achieving a pleasant climate in a vehicle is very much a question of a good relation between us and the vehicle builder. It starts with an inquiry, followed by analysis of which products best suit the vehicle. Our products are already developed to be easy to adapt thanks to our module thinking. But sometimes, it is necessary to customize or develop a new product to suit the customer's requirements and then we proceed in  very close cooperation with our customers.

Good interior climate – or not?

MCC can verify the performance of the delivered climate system. We use the latest technology to log the climate, from cold to warm vehicle, calculate the insulation value, measurethe defroster air flow, etc. We can then approve the climate system, or make the necessary adjustments to ensure a climate system that will give excellent and reliable performance for many years.
